GEORGE EDWARD BARRICK, on July 13, 2008, of cancer. Beloved son of Warren A. Barrick and the late Jeanne Cheatham Barrick. Survived by his sister, Meredith Parker of Chicago, IL, his partner, Chris Curchin; his stepmother, Carole Barrick; his stepsister, Dr. Nancy Sanders and a large extended family. All will miss him. He received a BFA from Univ. of the Arts, working passionately on his art throughout his life. He was a practicing Buddhist. He was the director of Moonstone Preschool before founding AKWD (Any Kid Will Do) a non profit preschool with a multi-sensory arts based approach based on the theory of multiple intelligences. A Memorial Celebration will be held at high noon on July 19 at Liberty Lands Park with a private gathering at George's School AKWD at 726 N. 3rd St.
